To build sustainable infrastructures, we need to connect with others, determine the needs of our community and work together to build systems that support local green economies. Events, gatherings and meetings provide an opportunity for people to share ideas, work through challenges and come up with solutions.
There are various settings that encourage people to interact with each other and work towards effective change. Whether its an annual earth day festival, a monthly green-focussed networking event or a mayor's sustainability task force meeting, connecting face to face is as integral part of creating a greener America.
The initiatives below represents a full spectrum of events ranging from small, monthly meetings to large, state-wide festivals. All initiatives can either be replicated in your town or you can join and support the current effort.
