Description
- During Earth Week 2012, Evergreen's (CO) Alliance for Sustainability (EAS+Y) launched a local Bring Your Own Bag Campaign. The project aims to remind residents to bring their own reusable bags when shopping. EAS+Y showed the documentary film Bag It, distributed free reusable bags donated by grocers, and conducted a survey of the number of people using reusable bags while shopping at local grocers. The group also presented an engaging and educational puppet show to all third grade classes in Evergreen. Developed to teach children about the harmful effects of plastic bags on the environment, the show was created and performed by two EAS+Y members.
