Alstede Farms, located in the historic town of Chester, NJ, is a family operated business providing quality fruits and vegetables, fresh from the fields to your table since 1982.

Owners Kurt and Barbara Alstede take pride in the effort of preserving over 600 acres of farmland of which most is enrolled in the New Jersey Farmland Preservation Program.

The friendly & knowledgeable staff assist visitors with their favorite cooking tips and informational guidelines on the perfect flower or vegetable garden.

Educational tours, CSA, birthday parties, corporate events, Strawberry & Harvest Festivals, Harvest Moon Hayrides and Pick-Your-Own is just a sampling of activities found at Alstede Farms.

28 Weeks of Harvest Fresh Fruit and Vegetable production remains the primary business for Alstede Farms. And the Alstede Farms Team is growing a wider selection of produce than ever before. WE ARE NOW CERTIFIED ORGANIC and we include some organic items in your weekly share as they become available. Your Full Share membership entitles you to a share of the weekly harvest, at minimum a 1/2 bushel - approximately 25 lbs, half-shares entitles you to approximately 12 lbs of fresh picked produce - both containing different fresh items every week.

Fresh Produce, Fresh Ideas Your share will reflect the growing seasons on the farm. The contents will always be changing, and we will work to include as much variety as possible. We will also provide you with nutritional information, recipe ideas and tips on preparing and preserving your harvest. What a great way to teach your family about the growing seasons on the farm and treat them to new tastes and experiences!

Strawberries, Currants, Cabbage, Raspberries, Apricots, Potatoes, Tomatoes, Nectarines, Cucumbers, Kale, Kohlrabi, Pumpkins, Blackberries, Asparagus, Broccoli, Lettuces, Peppers, Gooseberries, Rhubarb, Eggplants, Blueberries, Leeks, Corn, Carrots, Beans, Apples, Brussel Sprouts, Cauliflower, Herbs, Squash, Watermelon, Zucchini, Gourds, Indian Corn, Pears, Radishes and so much more...and all HOMEGROWN!

3 options available for pick up: 1) Members can pick up their shares at the Farm Market on Thursdays from 2 pm to 7pm. 2) Members can have their shares delivered to their homes for an extra fee. 3) Members can pick up their shares at one of our Thursday tailgate markets near their home for an extra fee.
