Farm Yard CSA

Description
Our CSA is somewhat unique in that the veggies are grown in urban yards so they are ultra local. They are included in the shares as they become available in the gardens. We use only organic growing methods and no pesticides or herbicides. We start our own plants from seeds so we also control the origin of the plants.
Since part of our goal is to reconnect people to the source of their food, we ask that our members contribute by volunteering in the yards for 4 hours over the course of the season in addition to the seasonal payment. This volunteer time can take the form of planting, weeding, coordinating a pickup, or other needs we have. We host monthly work days in the yards where you can learn about how your food is grown, share with other members and be a part of growing your food. Our 2010 rate for a share is $450 (or $240 for a half share), June through October (or whenever we stop having produce).
Now accepting memberships for 2010.
