Description
Our certified organic farm grows more than 40 different fresh vegetables with more than 100 different varieties. We have made our reputation by offering high quality, great-tasting organic produce to the local community. We follow organic principles to nourish our soils and native insectary so that we may grow the most healthy, nutritive plants possible. We work with the local ecosystem of the Mary's River, which winds through our farmland, to farm sustainably. We have an on-site farm stand that offeres our fresh produce, fresh baked goods, lunches, brunches, and breakfasts. Our farm hosts two harvest festivals a year: the Strawberry Festival in June and the Pumpkin Festival in October. During the festivals we offer farm tours and we also schedule farm tours for large groups when requested.
Your box is always full of a delicious medley of produce. You can enjoy the convenience of a weekly box of produce, which provides the finest fruit and vegetables of each season.
Each week we provide a newsletter with updates on crops, hot recipes, and anecdotes of farm life so that you, the member feels like part of the farm. We know that many families vacation during the summer, and we provide up to two weeks vacation credit to be cashed in to purchase canning and storage vegetables.
Your membership also includes free admission to our Strawberry and Pumpkin Festival/Scarecrow Contest.
Many members have remarked that opening up their weekly box is like opening up a Christmas present: always something new and unexpected.
