Description
We offer two CSA seasons Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter. Spring/Summer usually has onions, potatoes, lettuces, strawberries, herbs like parsley and cilantro, leeks, green beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, squashes, and snow peas. Fall/Winter usually has lettuces, greens like kale and collards, herbs, squashes, green beans, tomatoes, and peppers.
Gotreaux Farms is a wonderful family farm. It is here that we grow a variety of seasonal vegetables along with some of the delicious south Louisiana's fruits. We have great eggs from hens that range on organic pastures. We also seasonally have grass fed beef and lamb that graze on organic pastures. We also raise the cleanest and most delicious tasting Tilapia locally grown.
Kick your shoes off and stay a while. About us...we are a first generation diversified organic family farm growing nutrient dense food. Our family loves what we do. As farming has become our lifestyle it has also become our passion. We believe in buying local, growing sustainably, and reducing our footprint on this planet and within our community. With that stated, it would make sense that growing organic has always been our standard. Producing nutrient dense food is our goal. Ah, the very thought of eating food densely packed with nutrients!
