Description

We grow a wide and delicious diversity of vegetables for the CSA, including abundant quantities of such favorites as heirloom tomatoes, lettuce and carrots, as well as a selection of less common vegetables like Edamame and Brussels Sprouts to keep things interesting. At most pickup locations, produce will be displayed so that you can select items, within the weekly guidelines, that you want. Full Season shares are harvested from mid June through late Dec. The November and December distributions are twice monthly. Main Season 20 Week shares are also available for mid-June through mid-October. A fresh picked selection of seasonal vegetables is offered each week, weighing between 8-15 lbs. In addition, we offer Pick-Your-Own crops for free for all CSA members at the farm.

In the 11th year of operation, Red Fire Farm is an 115 acre certified-organic vegetable farm growing over 300 different varieties of vegetables, berries, garden plants, flowers and pasture-raised organic eggs. We grow local produce year-round! CSA members can pick up their produce at locations in Western MA, Cambridge, Somerville, Jamaica Plain, MIT, Boston, and Brighton.

At the farm, the farm stand is open 7 days a week 9 - dusk offering fresh vegetables and various organic and local products from May through October. In the spring, we also sell great organic garden plants, both vegetables and flowers, for your home garden. Our Old Depot Gardens farm stand in Montague, where Ryan started farming over 20 years ago, serves up the same array of fresh produce and plants.
