Description

At Turkey Hill Farm we grow vegetables and fruits for market and select local restaurants. In Fall, Winter and Spring we grow Lettuces, traditional Southern greens, Asian greens, arugula, carrots, turnips, Brassicas, radishes, scallions, green garlic, turmeric and ginger roots, and Satsumas. In Summer we have Heirloom Tomatoes, blackberries, Elephant garlic, Shallots, Summer Squash, Sweet Basil, Peppers, Eggplant, Figs, Pears, Muscadine Grapes and Wild Blueberries. We grow Shiitake Mushrooms on oak logs and have wild Chantrelles in season. We also keep a motley flock of beautiful chickens and sell the great Bear Creek Worm Castings. We have 8 American Buff Geese and hope to build a strong and healthy flock from this core group.
