Bike Ride-Solar Home Tour: An easy 5 mile ride at a pace suitable for kids. We'll gather at Veteran's Park 10 AM (near the bridge and boat launch). Ride north along the Norwalk River Valley Trail (through Oystershell Park, past Children's museum and YMCA to Union Park). Then back to Vet's Park down the other side of the river following the Harbor Loop Trail (prepare to be amazed by some beautiful stretches). Finally along the new bike lane on Seaview to a carbon-neutral solar powered home (7 Seaside Place) at 11 AM. Reception, home made bread, soup and dips; chicken petting; tour of solar electric and hot water panels; tips on getting a family's utility bills to $25. Meet and greet with Senator Bob Duff and councilman candidate Matt Miklave who will ride with us.
