Description
At the Historic Downtown Farmers Market, shoppers have the unique opportunity to form relationships with individuals who grow their family’s food. The Hot Springs community now has a beautiful, family-friendly pavilion to buy fresh, local produce along with herbs, flowers and locally handcrafted items.
The Historic Downtown Farmers Market holds special events throughout the season, including a health and wellness day, a “Music at the Market” series that coincides with the Hot Springs Music Festival, and “A Day at the Farm,” a season-ending event that serves as a final farewell to the market season.
Hot Springs community has embraced the Historic Downtown Farmers Market which has grown into its permanent open-air pavilion location at 121 Orange Street in beautiful downtown Hot Springs. The market is currently open from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from May through October, and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturdays from November through April. Free parking is available in the Transportation Plaza, across Orange Street from the market, and disabled parking is available adjacent to the market pavilion. In 2010, the City of Hot Springs reached out to the Friends of the Farmers Market volunteer organization to provide management and promotional services for the market.
