"With more than 40 sellers, the Matthews Community Farmers Market is the largest and most diverse growers-only farmers' market in the greater Charlotte area. The market features certified organic, naturally grown and conventionally grown produce. All produce is locally grown, within 50 miles of Matthews. The market's straight-from-the-farm harvests have made it a Saturday morning destination for customers who not only want the best produce, but who want to know how their food is grown and the farmers who grow it. The market also is a favorite of the area's top chefs who regularly showcase the fabulous flavors of the local harvest on their menus. Besides a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, market selections also include grassfed beef, pastured pork, soft goat cheese, fresh baked goods, local honey, candies, jams, pickles, vinegars, eggs from free-range chickens, fresh cut flowers, herbs, bedding plants, goats milk soaps and lotions, hand made pottery and other farm craft items.
