Simon Kenton High Schools Farmers Market is different from other farmers markets in that it is affiliated with a public school. Simon Kenton, in support of the Schools of Study, has provided an opportunity for the staff, students and community to come together to fulfill a growing need in Independence and southern Kenton County. The Simon Kenton Farmer's Market offers a wide variety of locally-grown produce, fruit, bedding plants, cut flowers, heirloom plants and vegetables, and fresh-baked goods. The market is a member of Kentucky Proud, and is sanctioned by the Kentucky Department of Agriculture.
The market is approximately 15 minutes from I-275, following Ky Hwy 17 South to Independence. The market is opened from April to October 31st on Saturdays from 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM.
