Description
Sonoma Garden Park lays on six acres of land that were donated to the City of Sonoma by Pauline Bond--a schoolteacher and gardener. The Park is a project of the Sonoma Ecology Center and our mission is to demonstrate ecologically sound practices, to create a beautiful green space, and to inspire the spirit of community and eating locally. The core of all programs is education. The site and programs are volunteer-supported and we also host internships. To support programs and projects, an on-site seasonable harvest market every Saturday in our straw-bale barn. Farm tours are also held on Saturdays or by appointment. All food is grown with volunteer support, using organic techniques. We grow many "heriloom" varieties of fruits and vegetables, and we sell flowers.
June-October Our harvest market is on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Fresh fruit veggies and flower bouquets. Garden tours at 11:00 AM.
