Description

Our community is surrounding by abandoned housing, drug dealings and other negative socail and economic trends that impact our youth.Our Board of Directors is obviously concerned about the lack of enrichment actvities in which the youth can be involved.We has decided to start this initiative project in July with our summer activities. The youth are really please with this idea to improve themselves through garden activities in which they will learn about the environment, plants, vegetables and how to sustain the resources of the Earth. It will be our first action starting with the garden in the back yard 1041 Liberty Street, and we hope to extand this in our neighborhood. Parents and neighboors encourage "Green Around" initiative because they believe that the youth should be part of the community development.
