Description

The purpose of the SLCT is to save land as open space in perpetuity. A land trust is an organization that holds property and easements to legally establish protections for a given piece of land. There are two general types of land trusts: conservation trusts, primarily working toward the preservation of open space, forests and agricultural land, and community land trusts that focus more on housing and community development.
