Texas Conservation Alliance is informing citizens and decision makers about the many advantages of recycling municipal water supplies. In a time of drought, record high temperatures, and growing populations, our water supply is more precious - and more threatened - than ever. Water recycling can actually improve the quality of city storage lakes and water supplies, provide areas of beauty and recreation (through constructed wetlands that actually purify water), and provide a lower-cost solution to assure a safe, sustainable water supply than building reservoirs.
