Organization: Halcomb's Knob LLC
Summary:
After 14 years in corporate America, we relocated to Kentucky, returning to our heritage roots to launch Halcomb's Knob Farm. Recognized as a Certified Wildlife Habitat through the NWF, the Knob is a natural sanctuary where farm managment is guided by a Christian theology of earthkeeping.
Relying on 25 years of event management and leadership development skills, in September 2010,planning Kentucky's first Field to Fork Festival began. Months of work and interaction among community leaders and agriucltural commodity producers lead to our first year's festival being deemed a success! It is our hope, as each year passes, we can sing the praises of another successful Field to Fork Festival. Watch http://fieldtoforkfestival.blogspot.com for details of this year's festival.
In addition to our sustainable farming activities, we also manage the Knob's Bed and Breakfast, providing accomodations to guests looking to escape for a night, weekend or week the frantic rush of our technological world for the down-to-earth secrenity of Halcomb's Knob, where we encourage our guests to explore our 30 acres of fauna and flora.
